The song named Combiners.
Far from big cities
There not rich boutiques
There the other people live
Songs about them are not
Serials about them aren’t made
So they’re not fit for television
There isn’t an article about them in Internet
It seems they’re not at all
They’re young, but not students
They don’t know «Okey» and «Lenta» (about shops)
They don’t go to sushi bars
They don’t go to solarium
They haven’t expensive things
They don’t care about emo-culture
They don’t sit in front of computers
They work hard on combines
Refrain:
Drunk ?2?5??, got in «NIVA ROSTSELMASH » (about Russian combine)
In harvesters or in tractors
First of all he fed his farming pigs
And the son-in-law’s gone to thresh barley
It will be long-long-long your work day
Therefore he knows each bolt of the machine
Your pay is 100 dollars every month — combiners
Every of them served in the Army
Nobody lay that not fit for the Army
Combiners, drivers, heavers of melon farms
These guys aren’t a dream of glam girls
So let morons rage themselves in Moscow
But as long as we have these guys in our country
Let all enemies and Condoleezza Rice know
Rags NATO will never occupy us.

Sautez ‘tit Filles – cajun accordion – Johnson Boys
Back in the US civil war the warmakers, as their kind always does, used the help of local ruthless criminals to terrorize and suppress the local population. Jayhawkers they’re called sometimes. Ozeme Carriere, a Creole bandit turned scout was such an illustrious feller in Louisiana, recruited by a captain in the rebel army … this song & similar storyline came to be inspired by “Johnson Boys”, a traditional old time country song & tune. Thanks, Pauline Groenendijk, from the Cajun Company and Dowell Lafleur for your help with the lyrics:
Sautez ‘tit Filles © Artspurg 2008 SABAM
Ozeme Carriere il amait la femme
Aimé toutes les jolies filles
Il a vie une vie rapide
Jusqu’aux jours d’ la guerre civile
chorus:

I’ll Get By
Artspurg 2007 SABAM
Met a gal, and I can’t dance,
At the bar, I stood my chance,
Got so drunk, lost my touch,
Poor old me, she was too much,
But we’ll get by
My old dad told me one day,
Son, don’t you throw your life away
Only thing now I can say
My life sucks, anyway
I’ll get by
Early up, I went down town,
Got so drunk my face fell down,
Lots of strangers there and then,
Someone dragged me home again,
So I’ll get by
Got lots of friends when I was rich
But I got wed to a mean old
All day long she nags & shouts
By the hair I threw her out
I’ll get by
Since I’m poor, who cares for me?
But fair is fair as I can see
Won’t you all just let me be?
Walk the line, it works for me
I’ll get by

Lyrics:
Down in the Bayou Land © Artspurg SABAM 2006
- Down in the Bayou land, –
once lived a man –
Appellé Monsier Boudain, had a Cajun Band –
One day the wife she left, she had enough –
But he fiddles on; Cajuns are tough –
– – –
Il a tenu, le joi de vive –
Bought a little ape, for the lonely eve –
When he left the house, on a working day –
Ape stole the violin; it’s the monkey’s way –
– – – –
As Boudain came home, the ape was gone –
Perché sur le toit, et joue le violon –
Fierce was his bowing hand, he played for two –
A scié le violon, quite through and through –
– – –
And so Monsieur Boudain, il a pas tout –
Took a sawn-off gun’, and aimed to shoot –
Now with the monkey gone, et le violon –
Happily the wife returned, dedans la maison –
– – –
Down in the Bayou land, pendant la nuit –
Sometimes a fiddle’s heard, and you won’t sleep –
Now a story grows, day by day –
It’s a monkey’s ghost, ça c’est la vérité –
