Are Chinese Made "Cajun accordions" Good ?
Thing of purchaseing a accordion i live in Louisiana and the hand built ones are very expensive here.
The most realistic answer is that you get what you pay for. The Chinese ones will get you a cheap entry level box that will work for a couple years and you can learn on it. Once you get better you will be unhappy with it and will want to upgrade to one with better key response, reeds and feel. The reeds in a good box will use less air, start to sound with less pressure and fade out evenly. The keys will fit better and have a smoother action and the pads will generally seal better. Good reeds will also stay in tune longer and take more pressure without breaking. Having said all that, the Chinese one get you up and going for less money
