The performance was held in the Wadleigh Memorial Library, in Milford, New Hampshire, as part of the “Acoustic Cafe Coffeehouse on February 20, 2010. The band continues to perform throughout New England for concerts and cajun/zydeco dances. Contact Ryan Thomson through his web site for booking information. Ryan also teaches accordion and fiddle in workshops, classes, and private lessons. Band members at this concert included: Ryan Thomson – accordion and fiddle, Brennish Thomson, 13 years old – fiddle, canadian wooden spoons, Jeff Lind – bass, Paul Mangion – rub board, guiro, snare drum, banjo, and cajun triangle.

Pick A Bale Of Cotton

I haven’t done any multitracking in the studio for a long time, so I thought I’d have a bit of fun. Just a very loose version of the old Leadbelly song “Pick A Bale Of Cotton” on: 2 acoustic guitars, acoustic bass guitar, electric guitar, cajun accordion and fiddle. The fact that I’m a complete novice on the cajun accordion and fiddle didn’t deter me one whit. I have no shame. As I say – just a bit of fun on 2 chords…
