Crayfish are found … Crayfish are found in streams and lakes. I speak of onlt Pudding Creek in the Willamette Valley, Oregon. It was good fishing years ago near Sanger, California. While using crawdad cages and a can of Alpo dog food, you could catch plenty. There wasn’t a limit. Since we don’t live there any more, I don’t know if the fishing is still good?
It isn’t expensive in south Louisiana! It is what I consider extremely cheap down there, especially when bought live for a boil. They’re only a couple of dollars (US) per pound, and a sack can feed an entire family for a day.
As far as away from Louisiana? I live in the metro Atlanta area right now, and all they really sell for crawfish up here is imported chinese crap that is pre-boiled and not very spicy. It is also very expensive.
